A Much-Needed Fashion Hub in the Heart of Kalyani ​Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) ​For residents of Kalyani and the surrounding Nadia district, the opening of Pantaloons was a significant upgrade to the local shopping scene. Before this, finding premium branded wear often meant a long commute to Kolkata, but this outlet has successfully filled that gap. ​The Ambience and Layout The store is spacious, well-lit, and maintained with excellent air-conditioning, which is a blessing during the humid summer months. The layout is intuitive, with clearly separated sections for men, women, and children. The aisles are wide enough to navigate a shopping cart comfortably, even when the store is moderately busy. ​The Collection Honesty requires acknowledging that while it may not have the massive inventory of a metro city mall outlet, it is surprisingly well-stocked for a tier-2 city location. The ethnic wear section (Rangmanch, Trisara) is particularly vibrant and offers great options for festivals like Durga Puja. The men’s casual section, featuring brands like Ajile and SF Jeans, is trendy and frequently updated. However, the formal wear section for men could do with a bit more variety in terms of sizes and fits. ​Service and Facilities The floor staff are generally polite and willing to check for sizes in the stockroom without grumbling. The trial rooms are kept clean, though lighting inside them could be slightly improved. ​The Verdict The only real downside is the billing counter during weekends or sale periods; the queues can get quite long, and the process feels slow. However, if you visit on a weekday, it is a breeze. Overall, Pantaloons Kalyani offers a premium shopping experience with good value for money, making it the best family shopping destination in the area.

The store is not as big as the City Centre2 Pantaloons, but it's alright. The women's collection is limited and so is the men's and kids' collection. I went there for the first time to avoid Kolkata's traffic. Also, the parking in Kalyani Pantaloons is better than in Sodepur, as the store is bigger than in Sodepur. There are large municipal parking spaces available. However, I didn't find the staff to be very friendly. Lots of small and big restaurants are surrounded. There is not that much traffic even though I went on Sunday. If you go by train, then catch Kalyani Simanta local and drop at Ghoshpara train station then auto/toto.
