Visited the Pantaloons store in Panaji recently, and the experience was a mix of positives and areas that could use improvement. Located right opposite the Baron shop, the store is easy to find and conveniently placed in a central part of the city.
The store spans three well-organized floors—accessories, footwear, and essentials on the ground floor; women’s fashion on the first floor; and men’s fashion on the second. The layout is clean and straightforward, making it easy to browse through sections. One of the definite highlights was the changing rooms, which were clean, well-maintained, and made trying on clothes a comfortable experience.
However, parking can be a challenge. The area tends to get quite crowded, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Availability largely depends on the time of your visit, so it’s best to plan for off-peak hours if possible.
While the store is neat and easy to navigate, the overall shopping experience felt a bit overwhelming. There were significantly more staff members than customers during my visit, and their presence felt more overbearing than helpful. Instead of stepping in when needed, several of them hovered too closely, which made browsing feel rushed and slightly uncomfortable.
In terms of product selection, the variety seemed limited for a store of this scale and reputation. Both the men’s and women’s sections felt somewhat repetitive, and the options didn’t reflect the diversity Pantaloons is usually known for. Prices also felt a bit on the higher side when compared to the range and styles available.
That said, the store could work well for someone looking to make a quick purchase without budget constraints. But if you’re seeking a more relaxed shopping experience with plenty of options and good deals, it may not fully meet expectations.
Pantaloons Panaji offers a clean and convenient shopping environment in a prime location, with good facilities like changing rooms. However, factors like limited parking, minimal variety, and an overly attentive staff presence may take away from an otherwise smooth retail experience
